Hi, friend! I hope today is finding you well. You are so loved beyond a measure! It’s possible you’ve just read my latest post “How to Start a Blog.” Awesome! If you’re still working on that part, no biggie. I understand the fear of getting started and making that first step! If you already completed the steps to creating your blog, congrats! Now, you start writing.
You’re asking, what do I write about on my blog!? My answer: don’t think too much into it! Start writing about your passions. You may have no idea where to start. That’s OK, I didn’t either! I thought about my life and what I love: Jesus, being a new mom, scripture, and encouragement. These are some of my very first posts.

For photos, if you don’t have your own, I recommend starting out with stock images! My two favorite websites are Pexels and Unsplash. Stock photos are amazing tools for you to use in your blog, for your business, etc. They are 100% free! I don’t recommend purchasing any unless you absolutely have your heart set out on them. I love the stylized stock photos on sctockshop.com. You can Google “stock images” and find tons more. Canva is a great tool to place images onto photos, so that your posts can stand out on Pinterest. We’ll talk more about that in a different post! The most important part about starting a blog is writing posts so you establish your site. Don’t let photos or the layout of your site get in the way of you writing and clicking “publish”!
It’s time to pick up those hands and get to work! I am so confident that you can do this, but you have to be confident as well! The only thing that’s stopping you is fear, and possibly feeling overwhelmed. Don’t worry, I was completely overwhelmed when starting out. I convinced myself I couldn’t do it, and although I’m still relatively new to blogging, my mindset has changed so much with knowledge and going for it. I believe in you!!
