Hi, friend! I hope today is finding you well. You are loved beyond measure by the God who breathed the entire universe! Rest in this truth today as we discuss Kingdom Mission. I love when Paul says, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love” in Romans 8:28. We are praising this truth today and every day!
I’m writing to you today to remind you of the Kingdom Mission. Trust me, I know how easy it can be to get caught up in earthly affairs and not put God’s Kingdom at the forefront of our minds. This is dangerous, my friend. Yes, we should be involved in communities and doing our due diligence here on earth. However, be mindful that the cultural and political climate of the earth can easily distract us from our calling.
As a Bible-believing Christian, you know that we are citizens of Heaven, not of earth. “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,” Philippians 3:20. God has anointed us to steward our gifts here on earth and to love each other immensely. When we place anything above our purpose from God, we can lose sight of our pursuit – every tribe, tongue, and nation.
Firstly, drench yourself in God’s Word daily. There is a reason that it’s called our daily bread. By constantly reading, re-reading, and digesting God’s Word, we are actively renewing our minds as we are reminded to do in Romans 12:2. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Secondly, find and place yourself in community. Life is already hard enough as it is, we do not want to be doing life alone. The enemy feeds off of your isolation. If you are looking for a place to start with community, search for a local church on Google. Give them a call or visit their website to see if they have any small groups that you can be a part of. There are groups for every different season: singles, young professionals, married, etc.
Once my husband and I plugged into a small group, our lives truly changed for the better. We were able to pour our hearts out to our now friends, pray with them, do life with them (birthday parties, meal trains, support) and have people to love on us. This is all a part of remaining steadfast in the Kingdom Mission.
Be encouraged, friend. Jesus gives us the courage, strength, and confidence to abide in Him daily. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:5-8.
