We all face times for making wise decisions. Thankfully, the Lord will always provide for us and lead us through these decisions. When we rely on the Lord as our strength and as our shepherd, He will guide us on the path that He wants us to take. Firstly, regarding unwise decisions you have made in the past, ask your Heavenly Father for forgiveness (repent) and turn away from that sin. God does not hold grudges over you. He loves you immensely more than you can ever imagine.
Secondly, immersing ourselves in God’s Word, digesting it daily, helps us in making wise decisions. In Romans 12:2 Paul writes, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Constantly being transformed by the renewing of our mind by reading and surrounding ourselves with scripture will help us in making wise decisions.
“Every day, I find countless opportunities to decide whether I will obey God and demonstrate my love for Him or try to please myself or the world system. God is waiting for my choices.” – Bill Bright
“A man who honors God privately will show it by making good decisions publicly.” – Edwin Louis Cole
“Get into the habit of dealing with God about everything.” – Oswald Chambers
“Your choices and decisions are a reflection of how well you’ve set and followed your priorities.” – Elizabeth George
There are 31 short chapters in Proverbs Each day, open the book of Proverbs that matches the calendar date. Read that book at least three times, then follow the pattern for each calendar date. By doing this, you will be digesting the wisdom straight from God’s Word that will help prune and refine you when making wise decisions. Unsure about your decision? Pray about it. Our loving Lord is longing to hear from you! He wants to help you walk in the path that He has set forth for you. It can be easy to think that He isn’t watching over, nor helping us. That is far from the truth. Allow God to do His job!
You are not alone, friend. We are in this together. All for the Glory of God.
