Hi, friend! I hope you’re having a great day and know that you are loved beyond measure! I wanted to share with you these DIY Valentine Succulents that are perfect for teachers, neighbors, family, friends, pastors… everyone! We personally gave these to each of our neighbors because we were wanting to find a way to connect with them within our neighborhood. Luke isn’t in a class with a Valentine’s party yet, so we thought this would be a wonderful way of spreading love to our neighbors. I’ll admit, I was a little bit nervous because we had hadn’t hardly any contact with them in the almost two years we’ve been in the neighborhood. To our surprise, they thought it was the kindest gesture and absolutely adored Luke!
These potted succulents at Home Depot are $7 each. I ended up purchasing 6 of them and had a $25 gift card to use, yippee! In my stash of DIY and crafting utensils, I already had the paint and paint brush that I used. So, I decided to mix these two colors of pink to create a fun and unique look to represent Valentine’s Day.
Then, I just started to wing it! I originally drew inspiration from loveandspecs.com with their potted heart cactus as decor. I’ll be the first to tell you that these were not at all perfect! But it was the thought that counted and a lot of love went info them knowing we would be personally handing them to our neighbors. Even if they maybe thought it was weird, we wanted to plant the seed and encourage community. It was so fun! These will definitely be one of our favorite Valentine’s Day gifts for years to come! I hope you’ve enjoyed and would love to hear if you try the DIY Valentine Succulents!
With Love, Cami Jones
